Questions, bug reports and tool requests are all welcome.
How to reach us
ToolNest is run by a small team, so email is the fastest and only channel — there is no phone queue and no chatbot. We read everything that arrives and aim to reply within two to three business days.

Reporting a bug
A useful bug report saves a lot of back and forth. If you can, include:
- The URL of the tool page you were using.
- Your browser and version, plus desktop or mobile.
- What you expected to happen, and what happened instead.
- The kind of file involved — its format and rough size. Please don't attach the file itself unless we ask.
Requesting a tool
Tool requests carry real weight in what gets built next. Tell us the job you are trying to do rather than just the tool name — knowing the underlying task usually leads to a better tool than the one originally asked for.
Because everything here runs inside the browser, tools that need a server, an account or a third-party API are usually out of scope. File conversion, calculation, formatting, generating and inspecting are all fair game.
What we can and can't help with
Some requests reach us regularly that we genuinely cannot act on, so it is worth setting expectations before you write.
- Recovering a file — not possible. Because processing happens in your browser, we never receive a copy of anything you work on. Once a tab is closed, the data is gone from memory and there is nothing for us to retrieve.
- Explaining a calculation — yes, gladly. If a calculator returns a figure you did not expect, tell us the inputs you used and what you expected. Either the tool has a bug worth fixing or the page needs to explain itself better, and both are useful to hear.
- Professional advice — no. We cannot tell you what to charge, how to file a tax return or whether a contract clause is enforceable. Our tools produce estimates; a qualified accountant or lawyer produces advice.
- Advertising and partnerships — we do not accept guest posts, paid links or sponsored content. Ads on this site are served through Google AdSense only.
A note on your files
We never need your files to help you. Tools process everything locally in your browser, so we have no copy of anything you have worked on and no logs of it. Please don't email sensitive documents — a description of the problem is always enough to start with.
For details on what we do and don't collect, see the privacy policy.
